Jewish Attorney Heads Atlanta Housing Body to End City’s Slums

Max M. Cuba, young Jewish attorney, was appointed by Mayor James L. Key, chairman of the Municipal Housing Authority which will direct the elimination of Atlanta’s slum districts through the building of model homes and apartments, funds for which were made possible by the French Government.

The commission headed by Mr. Cuba will be composed of outstanding civic leaders, public officials and welfare workers. Councilman Cuba, who is one of the youngest members of the City Council, is also chairman of the Tax Committee and a member of the Charter Revision Committee.
