Government action against anti-Jewish discrimination in Austrian resorts and hotels was urged in a memorandum submitted to the Chancellor’s office by the Union of Austrian Jews.

The Union urged the government to declare invalid the anti-constitutional decisions adopted recently at numerous Austrian resorts prohibiting “non-Aryans, Jews and Semites” from stopping at those places. The memorandum recites the names of the resorts which recently adopted such resolutions and requests the government to issue a general order that the licenses of hotels and innkeepers who refuse admittance to Jewish guests be withdrawn.
