Sidney Goldberg, 5-year-old Jewish boy scout, who saved the life of a baby from drowning in a bath tub by application of his knowledge of artificial respiration, was presented with an honor gold medal by Si Mayer, president of the Automobile Club of Illinois.

The presentation ceremony took place at Soldier Field in the presence of 450,000 school children of Chicago who were there to attend the annual safety pageant.

The Jewish Agricultural Society has granted a loan to help the Jewish Farm community of Chestnut Hill, Connecticut, build a synagogue and community center. Similar loans have there theretofore been granted to Jewish agricultural communities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and California. Some of these community houses are used as the meeting places not only of Jewish farmers but for general farm gatherings. In the community house at Toms River, New Jersey, a course in poultry raising was conducted last winter under the auspices of the New Jersey State Agricultural College, open to all the farmers of the section.
