Jewish Congress Helps 9,000 U.S. Jews File Claims Against Poland

Some 9,000 persons have been aided by the World and American Jewish Congress to register claims with the State Department for property nationalized or otherwise taken over by the Polish authorities, the WJC announced today.

The State Department is expected to begin negotiations with the Polish Government early next year for a lump sum settlement of United States property in Poland.
