A delegation of the Jewish community of Moscow appeared before Leon Kameneff, President of the Moscow Soviet, to take up with him the matter of the proposed Jewish colonization in the Crimea, and the restrictions imposed upon Jewish emigration from Soviet Russia.
Kameneff declared that the Soviet Government is giving earnest thought to the matter of Jewish colonization in the Crimea. He expressed surprise, however, at the information that the Soviet authorities were putting obstacles in the way of Jewish emigration. He asked the delegation to submit to him a detailed memorandum, and promised to take up the matter with the authorities in charge, after the ending of the Communist Party convention.
