Lack of confidence in the present Polish Minister of Education, Professor Miklaszewski, was expressed by the Polish Parliament today, after a speech delivered by the Jewish Deputy, Dr. Wygodski, representing the district of Vilna.

The Minister of Education insulted the Vilna Jewish community, when, on his last visit to Vilna, he rejected their invitation to visit the Jewish schools in the city, giving as the reason for his refusal that “the Jews are enemies of Poland”.

Parliament voted, with a majority of 145 to 132, to exclude an item amounting to 100 Zlotys from the budget of the Education Ministry, as an indication of lack of confidence in the Minister of Education.
