Jewish Dp Camp Closes in British Zone of Germany; Last Jews Leave for Israel

The last transport of displaced Jews to leave for Israel from the British zone of Germany departed from the Jever Displaced Persons camp today. Present at the official ceremony closing the Jever camp were the British commissioner for the state of Oldenberg and various German officials.

The office of the Joint Distribution Committee in Munich today issued a statement declaring that an organization called the Society for Relief for Jewish Emigrants from Germany and Austria is unknown to the J.D.C.
