Jewish enterprises in Germany will be “liquidated and suppressed” after the census ordered by Marshal Hermann Goering is completed, the National Sozialistische Reichsspeigel said tonight.
Commenting on the economic dictator’s order to all German and foreign Jews to declare whatever property they own in the Reich, The Combat, organ of the Nazi Party legal office declared such businesses would not be turned over for operation by “Aryans,” but would be driven out of existence.
Jewish-owned properties which are not being operated “in the spirit of the four-year plan” or which are deemed to have gained undue advantage from German economic recovery will fall under the ax, the publication said.
The Nazi Party news service, commenting anew on Germany’s current onion shortage, declared that after Jews had pushed up the price 400 per cent here, it was found impossible to obtain supplies from Egypt because Jewish speculators had also been active there.
“In these circumstances which of our countrymen would seriously propose that we pay out foreign exchange for a food which really does not play a leading role in our nourishment?” the article asked. It ended with the hope that speculators would be left with unsalable stocks of onions on their hands.
Interests of Jews and United States capitalists were served by Getulio Vargas, president of Brazil, when he put down the recent uprising in Rio de Janeiro, the Danziger Vorposten, organ of the Nazi party, Alleged today. The article aroused particular Interest here because the German press, previously equally violent, has ceased its attacks on Vargas since Brazilian Ambassador Silva Montiz De Aragao called at the Foreign Ministry Tuesday, presumably to protest.
