Jewish Federation-council in Los Angeles Dedicates $2,000,000 Hospital

The $2,000,000 Jewish Federation-Council Gateways Hospital was dedicated here by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt who flew from New York to speak at the affair. The hospital is the first completely specialized mental health facility under Jewish auspices in Los Angeles.

Principal speakers at the ceremony included Irving C, Hill, Jewish Federation-Council president; Congressman James Roosevelt; Rabbi Edgar Magnin; Dr. Sylvan Goldberg, Gateways president; and Louis Ziskind, executive director of the hospital, More than a thousand people attended the ceremony.
