Jewish groups condemned a U.N. vote that excluded the United States from the world body’s Geneva-based Human Rights Commission. The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations said after the May 3 vote, “It is outrageous when the worst violators of human rights are now dictating the agenda of this important commission.” Commission members now include Sudan and Libya, two nations on the U.S. list of terrorism sponsors.
