The Jordan Government has appointed a high-level committee to investigate charges of grave misuse of “enemy property,” including Jewish Holy Places, it was learned here today.
The Jordan press reported that the committee will investigate alleged illegal sales of lands formerly owned by Israeli Jews and charges of misuse, of synagogues and other Jewish Holy Places in the portion of Palestine Jordan occupied after the 1948 war against Israel.
The committee includes the Ministers of Defense, Finance and Foreign Affairs, as well as other high-ranking Jordanian officials.
