Jewish immigration to Palestine from East European countries contiunued during the month of November.
Figures published today show that during November 521 immigrants entered the country, while 923 emigrants left.
Ernest Bloch, head of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, has won the $1,000 Carolyn Beebe New York Chamber Music Society prize, given by C. C. Birchard, with a work entitled “Four Episodes,” it is announced by Mrs. Charles Cooper, chairman of the contest committee of the National Federation of Music Clubs.
