While Swiss friends were waiting to assist him, Oscar Von Koerner, 51, Viennese industrialist and timber king of Europe who had suffered great financial losses after the failure of the Depositen Bank of Vienna in which he was majority stockholder, committed sucide here yesterday in his room by swallowing poison. During the war he accumulated a fortune of $12,000,000 and later received a title of nobility from Hungary.
