May Day, coinciding with the seventh day of Passover, was observed by Jewish labor organizations throughout the country.

Meetings were arranged by labor organizations in all centers. Street demonstrations, arranged by the Left Wing, were prevented by the intervention of the police, who made some arrests. In Jerusalem one arrest was made, in Tel Aviv three and in Haifa two. No clashes occurred.
