For the first time, representatives of Jewry from six Latin American countries have held a conference here, working out common policies affecting all the communities. The delegates expressed hope that other Latin American Jewish groups will join to form a joint South American Council for Inter-Community Relations.
The two-day conference, which concluded last night drew representatives from Argentina. Bolivia. Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Held under the auspices of the World Jewish Congress, the conference was presided over by Dr. Gerhard Riegner, a member of the WJC executive committee.
