The Council of the Central British Fund for German Jewry today announced its decision to change its name to the Central British Fund for Jewish Relief and Rehabilitation.

The Council will assist in the rehabilitation of European Jewry and will maintain close contact with other organizations engaged in the same work. The Council will launch an appeal for relief funds in October. Sir Anthony de Rothschild accepted its chairmanship, with Lord Samuel, honorary president. Other members of the Council include Sir Robert Waley Cohen, Lord Bearsted, Major Lionel Montague, Lord Reading, Otto Schiff, Prof. Selig Brodetsky and others.
