Jewish leaders in Prague have appealed for information about a Czech Jewish community destroyed by the Nazis. Jewish properties in the town of Svitavy — the birthplace of Oskar Schindler — were razed to the ground during the notorious Kristallnacht in November 1938, when Nazis torched the town’s synagogue and smashed the Jewish cemetery beyond repair.
