For the first time, a Jewish movie expert will direct a film in Morocco, it was revealed here today, when the motion picture expert, David Dayan, was officially presented to newspapermen by the Minister of Information.
Moulay Ahmed Alaoui, Minister of Information, introduced Mr. Dayan to the press at a conference at the Cinematographic Center here this morning, announcing that Mr. Dayan will direct the new, full-length feature, to be entitled “Children of the Sun. ” The film, according to the plans, will be devoted partly to locations and scenes in Morocco. A group of Moslem movie experts will work with Mr. Dayan on the film, Mr. Alaoui said.
