The sum of $500,000 was cabled by the Jewish National Fund of America to Palestine for new land acquisition, Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Jewish National Fund of America, announced today. This represents one of the largest single remittances made in recent years. A total of $3,451,006.74 has been remitted by the Fund since October 1, 1942.
In announcing the remittance, Dr. Goldstein stated that there has been an increase of over 40% in the income from the traditional sources. It was also announced that the Jewish National Fund has raised over $1,000,000 from its traditional fund raising program.
