The Romance of a People” will have its initial performance at Convention Hall tomorrow night after eight week of intensive preparation. In additon to performanes every night this week except Friday, there will be a matinee on Thursday. Proceeds will go to ward the fund for the settlement of German Jewish refugess in palestine and local charitable causes.

Albert Einstein will be guest of honor Tuesday evening With Mrs. Einstein and Dr. Walter Meyer, his scientific associate at the Institute of Advanced Science at Princeton.

Governor Pinchot sent his regrets at not being able to attend the opening night i a message to Roland S. Morris, chairman of the Committee of Sponsors, naming Attorney General William S. Schnader, as his representative at the Pageant.

The pageant brings back to Piladelphia native son, Isaac Van Grove, professor of opera in the Chicao College of Music.

MENORAH ARRAGES BENEFIT

Several theatre parties have been arraged by the Menorah writers and artist committee which is giving a behefit at the performace of ”By Your Leave” tonight. Proceeds go to support the cultural and educational work of Menorah. Mrs. Alexander Kohut is honorary chairman of the writers and artists committee, compsed of women members of the Menorah Association. The benefit committee is headed by Mrs. Jacob B. Eiseman.

VIOLINIST ORT GUEST

Max Hollander, violinist, will be the guest on the musical program of the regular meetin of the Women’s American ORT tomorrow evening at the home of Judge and Mrs. J. M. Reeder, 970 Park avenue.
