Jewish Relief Agencies Join in Appeal to U.N. for Aid to Refugees

Seventy-eight international voluntary agencies concerned with refugees have called upon the United Nations to issue a special appeal for the continuation of efforts to aid refugees following the close of World Refugee Year, which ended officially on June 30.

Among the worldwide organizations were the Joint Distribution Committee, the World Ort Union, United Hias Service, Assistance to Jewish Victims of the War, the Jewish Committee for Reconstruction and Social Action and the Oeuvre de Protection des Enfants Juifs.
