Dr. Meir Balaban, well-known Polish Jewish scholar, was appointed by the Minister of Education to fill the post of instructor in the chair for Jewish history and literature at the University of Warsaw.
The chair was established recently. A special feature of the course will be research in the history of Polish Jewry.
