Carmel College, a private Jewish school, has collected 20,000 pounds sterling ($56,000) for the school’s new “John F. Kennedy Scholarship Fund,” it was announced here today. The fund was established in memory of Mr. Kennedy “because of his friendship to and interest in Jews during his time in office,” school officials said.
