Jewish scientists working in the atomic energy plant here have formed a Jewish community center on land granted by the government, and intend to establish a synagogue, it was reported today.

The report said that a representative of the center left for New York to secure a Torah presented to the new community by a synagogue in Brooklyn. The Torah will be brought by plane this weekend to Knoxville whence it will be escorted by a group of Jews to Oak Ridge.
