Rabbi Rubinstein, representative of the Jewish population of this city in the Polish Senate, refused to participate in a reception given by the University of Vilna in honor of visiting Roumanian professors.

In rejecting the invitation of the University, the Senator stated that he deems it improper for him to attend a reception to Roumanians because of the injustice and crimes perpetrated against the Jewish population of Roumania.
