A pledge of unstinting aid to the nation and President Roosevelt in the struggle for victory was adopted here yesterday at the closing session of the annual meeting of the National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare, which was attended by more than 700 social workers from all sections of the country.

The delegates promised to “contribute fully, generously and unstintingly all our resources as individuals and our abilities as professional persons and all the resources of our Jewish agencies and institutions as our contribution towards victory of the United Nations under the leadership of our Commander-in-Chief, our President Franklin D. Roosevelt.”

A resolution urging the Jewish community to “build the inner defenses through Jewish religious education, particularly in war-time, as a means of maintaining and promoting morale in this period of trial” was adopted by the National Council for Jewish Education, which held its annual meeting here in conjunction with the welfare group. Rabbi Samuel M. Blumenfeld, Dean of the College of Jewish Studies in Chicago, was re-elected president of the Council.
