A Jewish student, Nora Rascovsky, was attacked here yesterday in front of the University of Buenos Aires by a group of Fascist students who assaulted the girl because she was Jewish. Police were called to disperse the crowd which gathered when several persons tried to defend her. The police, instead of arresting the hooligans, detained the girl.

A group of Argentine democratic leaders, headed by three former foreign ministers – Carlos Saavedra Lamas, Jose Maria Cantilo and Adolfo Bioy – today sent a message of solidarity to the Christian Conference on Palestine which is now taking place in Washington.
