A red-brick Georgian Colonial building was turned over to 200 Jewish students at the University of North Carolina here this afternoon at impressive dedication ceremonies to which Jews came from all parts of the Tarheel State. Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld, national director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations, delivered the dedication address.

The building is the tenth Hillel building especially constructed by B’nai B’rith and the American Jewish community for Jewish students. Two more, the Northwestern University and the University of Michigan, are also completed and will be dedicated shortly, and another, at Boston University, is under construction. The funds necessary to construct the $60,000 edifice at Chapel Hill were raised by the North Carolina State Association of B’nai B’rith lodges.
