The incident at the Wailing Wall on Yom Kippur was the subject of the sermon of Dr. J. H. Hertz, Chief Rabbi of the British Empire on Saturday.

Before a crowded synagogue, Dr. Hertz said that throughout four centuries when the Turks ruled over Palestine. Jews were assured of their security at their holiest spot. Now, the Moslem and Christian holy places are scrupulously safeguarded and it is to be expected that the British Government will make a recurrence of the outrage at the Wailing Wall impossible.
