The Jewish War Veterans at its first major decision marking the opening of its 67th national convention here, today requested that the Attorney General of the United States take immediate steps to have American Nazi party leader George Lincoln Rockwell register as a foreign agent. In a telegram to Attorney General Robert Kennedy signed by Harry T. Madison, chairman of the JWV national executive committee, the organization cited recent international hate-mongering activities in England.

“The announced formation in Britain last month of an international fascist movement makes it imperative that these lice be under perpetual surveillance as an arm of an alien philosophy. Those who remember Hitler and the genocide he created are apprehensive that this may be the opening shot of similar episodes all over the world as witnessed in Argentina, Uruguay and other parts of the world. Our delegates are awaiting a reply, ” the telegram read.

“Our point of view,” Mr. Madison pointed out, “is that exposure of these vermin will awaken Americans to the danger of this new international movement. We believe that, today, organizations such as the American Nazi party, which incites Americans to hatred and distrust, are part and parcel of the Communist conspiracy and should be exposed as such.”
