Jewish War Veterans Deny Sponsorship of Irish-jewish Meeting on Palestine

In a telegram to Acting Secretary of State Dean Acheson, the Jewish War Veterans today denied that it was among the sponsors of a meeting here on Monday evening called by the American League for A Free Palestine and the United Irish of America. Declaring that Harry R. Urdang, a past commander of the New York County JWV, was “speaking only for himself” when he addressed the raily, Charles I. Schottland, national executive director, stated that the JWV completely disavowed a resolution passed at the meeting calling for the U.S. Government to withdraw all aid to the British Government until it removes its “invasion forces in Ireland and Palestine.”
