President Joai Goulart today appointed Paulina Kaz, active in Jewish communal affairs, as his representative in the group charged with coordinating plans for combatting illiteracy, which runs as high as 50 percent in this country. Mrs. Kaz is a leader in the local Hebrew education movement.
