The National Jewish Youth Conference, sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board, today expelled the Jewish Young Fraternalists from the Conference after approving a report by a Conference committee finding that the JYF is an organization whose “basic purposes and objectives are in direct conflict with the Conference. “
The report, submitted to the plenary session of the sixth annual meeting of the Conference at Cejwin Camps here, found that the JYF was directly related to the Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order of the International Workers Order and that the latter organizations were “Communist organizations whose major principles and objectives are diametrically opposed to the major principles and objectives of the National Jewish Youth Conference.” The investigating board was set up at last year’s annual meeting of the NJYC.
