Hundreds of Jewish communities throughout the United States will start observance tomorrow of Jewish Youth Week, proclaimed by the National Jewish Youth Conference, which represents more than 300 local and national Jewish youth organizations. The Conference is one of the organizations sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board.
The role and achievements of Jewish youth in this country will be highlighted during the week through a wide variety of cultural festivals, local youth conferences, sports events, leadership training institutes, forums and fund-raising programs. Proceeds from several of these projects will go to the Jerusalem Young Men’s Hebrew Association, Israel’s first Jewish Community Center.
