Jewish Youths from Germany Work in Palestine Fields; Many Join Military and Police Forces

Approximately 65 per cent of the 7,700 Jewish youngsters who entered Palestine from Germany and Nazi-held territories under the Youth Aliyah are now doing agricultural work, and the remainder are engaged in industrial, military and security duties, it was announced today by Jewish organizations here.

The Jewish aviation company Aviron today announced the extension of its lines to Iraq and Egypt. The workshops of the Aviron are engaged in repairing British planes in addition to their own. A number of Britains and Poles are being trained at the Aviron flying school.
