Several Budapest Jews were arrested over the weekend as Hungarian police started a series of raids against “social parasites,” which were foreshadowed recently in an address by Minister of the Interior Kereztes Fischer, attacking the Jews in Hungary, according to information reaching here today.

At the same time the full text of the Easter message issued by Cardinal Seredi, primate of Hungary, arrived here. In his address, the Cardinal delivered a veiled attack against the anti-Jewish laws introduced in Hungary, declaring that “when we violate the rights of God and man, we may not expect the reward which God has prepared for his faithful servants.”
