Jews were officially cleared by the police today of a suspected plot against the life of Ha j Amin el Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.
Firing of 15 shots from both sides of St. Stephen’s Gate late Saturday evening, a few minutes before the Grand Mufti’s car passed through, gave rise to rumors of a plot on the Moslem spiritual leader’s life.
