At the last meeting of the Sejm, Deputy Dr. Meisl of the Jewish Socialist Party “Bund,” drew the attention of the Deputies to a secret circular issued by the Ministry of the Interior which had come into his possession, ordering the exclusion of all Jews from the Latvian Self-Defence detachments. The Jewish members, according to the circular, should not be readmitted until they had been subjected to a rigorous control and a close examination as to their antecedents.
