Jews in Brazil Present Building As Gift to Israel Legation

The Israel Legation in Brazil today moved into its own building, which was acquired by a group of Jews in this country and presented as a gift to the Israel Government. The campaign to purchase the building, which cost $250,000, was initiated by Israel Sobel and Dr. Samuel Malamut a local Zionist leaders.

Preparations are being made here for the arrival of Israel’s Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett who will remain in this country for eight days as the guest of the Brazilian Government. During his stay in Brazil Mr. Sharett will address one mass meeting in Rio de Janeiro and another in Sao Paulo.
