Some 100 Jewish and non-Jewish college students and adults demonstrated Friday in front of the Soviet Consulate General in downtown Montreal in protest against the harassment of Israeli athletes and Soviet Jews at the world students games in Moscow. Members of the Canadian Maccabiah Games participated. An official letter of protest from the Montreal Action Committee for Soviet Jewry was brought to the Soviet Consulate by committee officials. Consulate officials refused to accept the letter.
