The Jewish National Council of Palestine and the chief Rabbinate today submitted a formal protest to the Palestine Government opposing the decision of the Jerusalem municipal commission to change the Jewish names of streets in the Old City to Arabic.

“The Jews of Palestine will never consent to have the name of King David Street changed to Terik Daoud Street,” the protest points out. It demands that the Government counsel the commission’s decision.
