The dissatisfaction of the French Jewish community with the Austrian Government’s attitude toward Jewish restitution was expressed here today in a memorandum submitted to the French Foreign Office by the CRIF, central representative body of French Jewry, the Alliance Israelite Universelle and the French section of the World Jewish Congress.
At the same time, the WJC submitted an independent protest to the Austrian Embassy here. It is believed that the protests were submitted today to coincide with the arrival here tomorrow of Austrian Chancellor Julius Raab.
