Roumanian Jews have scored a victory in their fight for the amendment of the draft of the new constitution whereby only Jews who have been residents of Roumania since or before 1914 were granted the right to be naturalized. The government has agreed to extend the naturalization privilege to Jews who have resided in Roumania since 1919.
The liberalization of the clause is due principally to the energetic efforts waged by Deputy Stern.
