Jewish National Fund tractors and bulldozers have begun levelling and ground-breaking work at Maale Haedumim, on the Jerusalem-Jericho road, the site earmarked by the Cabinet two weeks ago as a future industrial estate for the capital. A JNF spokesman told the JTA in reply to a question that the work had begun a few days ago. The initiative had come from the Israel Lands Authority, in overall charge of developing the site.
