Joint Israeli-Egyptian armistice meetings were ####duled to begin here today following individual conferences between acting United ####ons mediator Dr. Ralph Bunche and Israeli and Egyptian representatives.Prior to meeting with the Tel Aviv and Cairo envoys, Dr. Bunche appealed to ### governments to “avoid any incidents or acts which might jeopardize the construct-### progress of deliberations towards an armistice accord I have in mind not only ### governments Involved in these negotiations or in the Palestine conflict,” Dr. ###he continued, “but these as well whose interests impel them to keep close surveillance on developments in the area.”
