The Jordan Ministry of Education has banned the use of a British geography book and has ordered that a standard encyclopedia be scissored so as to eliminate the name of Israel. The book, Dr. I.Stamp’s “The World, “long used in Jordan schools, was banned because the current edition has a chapter on Israel.
