Jordan said it arrested an Iraqi trying to smuggle arms into the West Bank. Jaafar Mansoor Ali reportedly was apprehended before he could smuggle hand grenades to a Jordanian in Amman for transfer to the West Bank. Ali reportedly also confessed to previously smuggling 13 Kalashnikov rifles into Palestinian-ruled areas. Meanwhile, Jordan reportedly is planning to put on trial five men who allegedly planned to attack Israel from the West Bank.
