The death on Monday of Joshua. A. Joffe, Jewish scholar and teacher, in Freiburg, Germany, at the age of 73, was announced here today by Dr. Cyrus Adler, president of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Mr. Joffe was connected with the Seminary since his arrival here in 1892. Between 1902 and 1917 the taught Talmud. He officiated as rabbi in Vishnove, Russia, and Moabit, Germany. He retired in 1917 and took up his residence in Germany.
