U.S. Consul Eugene L. Padberg, Jr., was named an honorary member of a newly-formed organization of Israel war veterans. The organization also has branches in Montreal and in Toronto. Some of its members are preparing to return to Israel to join communal settlements. Mr. Padberg served for 16 months in the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv prior to his appointment to the Winnipeg post.
