One Nazi-minded Chicagoan may not return to the Saar in time to vote in the plebiscite January 13.
The decision rests with Judge Matthew D. Hartigan of the Felon’s Court as to whether John Dietz, 41, arrested on a confidence game warrant sworn out by Eric Steindig, his partner in a farm produce store, will return to the Saar by invitation of the Reich. Dietz was arrested shortly before he was to sail.
